Cultivating Genius is an epic and ever-growing collection of short stories, the next one being entirely different from the story before. Gholdy Muhammad’s work in her 2020 book “Cultivating Genius,” this introductory course supports participants in unpacking a five-layered framework, the HILL Model, to plan for culturally and historically responsive literacy across all content areas and explore how to cultivate young people’s identities, skills, intellect, criticality, and joy.
